CONCORD, NH — Police investigating a shooting incident in Seabrook on Monday are not releasing the names of people who were shot or being investigated but they said the incident was “a contained scenario.”

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, New Hampshire State Police, and Seabrook police are investigating what exactly happened on Boynton Lane in Seabrook on Monday. Benjamin Agati, a senior assistant attorney general, said police were sent to the home just after 9 a.m. When they arrived, they found a man shot and killed in the driveway of the home. A second man was also found, “suffering from a gunshot wound,” he said. That man was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

“This is believed to be a contained scenario, and all parties are believed to have been identified to this shooting,” Agati said. “Currently, officers are completing a search of the area outside the home and will be on Boynton Lane for several hours.”

The name of the man killed is being withheld pending family notification.

According to police, dispatch, and scanner chatter, a 90-minute manhunt was underway around Market Basket on Lafayette Road searching for a third person connected to the incident. That man was later found and taken into custody, according to Seabrook Deputy Chief Kevin Gelineau and Hampton police, in a post on Twitter.

No one, however, has been officially charged in the incident yet, Agati said. Investigators are still speaking with a number of witnesses, he said.

More information is expected to be released by officials while also protecting the integrity of the investigation, a news release statement said.
