Stiles: Tweedie is the Best Candidate for Senate District 24
After PAC sends hit piece, outgoing state Senator says she gives Ray credit for facing adversity, criticism; moving forward to help others.

HAMPTON, NH — Ray Tweedie at age 38 is a church going family man, has a loving wife and is the father of three. He provides community service through youth coaching, serving on the Hope on Haven Hill Board of Directors, served his political party at the town, county and state levels and has served many years on the Rye Planning Board. Ray was instrumental as area vice chairman of the NHGOP to win four out of five special elections helping to keep the Republican majority strong in the House.
A third party PAC supporter of one of his opponents pointed out to the voters of the district through a nasty mail piece that Ray had had some issues as he went through a messy divorce and custody battle. I think we can relate to the stress family and friends experience as they go through a difficult divorce. Many of us in our early 20s didn't always make the best decisions. But Ray's ultimate goal through it all was the protection of his infant daughter for whom he was awarded full custody unlike many of the male population in custody battles today.
Through Ray’s volunteering for many Seacoast charities and professional groups thousands of dollars have been raised having a very positive impact on our Seacoast communities. Whether it is through charity/volunteer work, or by helping people become successful homeowners through his job as a mortgage banker it has always been about helping people. I give Ray credit for facing adversity and criticism and moving forward to selflessly help others. His heart and actions are in the right place.

Senate District 24 demands constituent service at both the community and individual level. Ray understands the political process, cares about people, is a problem solver and a doer. Not only is he smart, he is extremely articulate. He has the people skills to offer the necessary public service to our district. That is why I endorsed Ray in the first place in this race and why I continue to support him today.
I hope you will join me on Sept. 13, and elect Ray Tweedie the Republican nominee for District 24. Don't let a false narrative deter you from supporting a good man who cares deeply for his family and will work hard for our district. I know he will be a great Senator for the people.
