Five Things To Do on the Seacoast This Weekend
Expect some big traffic and parking problems this weekend, which has many fun things on tap in town and at the beach.

1. Watch Out For Big Traffic Delays: One of most-attended events of the year comes to the area this weekend — which is also the weekend before the — so expect delays on major roadways and highways and expect to have difficulty finding parking in and around the beach for a variety of reasons.
The annual will likely be the major cause of the traffic delays — and the excitement — this weekend, as thousands typically turn out for the show at Pease in Portsmouth.

2. Check Out the Sand Sculptures: The competition may be over, but the masterpieces created during the are still on lighted display through July 8.
Some of the fine details have been lost due to recent weather patterns, but the works are still standing proudly on the beach near the . If you missed the competition itself, you have to check out of one of the 10-ton sculptures' construction.
3. Catch a Free Concert: There are four free, all-ages concerts on the Hampton Beach this weekend:
- Neurotic Gumbo, a Leominister, Mass., six-piece classic rock band playing music based on the sounds of the 1960s and 1970s, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Friday;
- Soulmate, a Seacoast-based soul, Motown and R&B band, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday;
- Country Kick 'N from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday;
- and B Street Bombers, a 10-piece Methuen, Mass., cover band with a full hornline, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday;
4. Add a Little Fun to Your Summer Vacation: is hosting another free Teen Gaming Afternoon from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Teens are invited to either come to play one of many Xbox games at the library — including Forza 4, Rock Band, a variety of games using the Kinect system and more — or bring their own games (rated T and under) to play with friends.
The library's also playing a free showing of the animated film, "The Secret World of Arrietty," at 1 p.m. Friday.
5. Rock Out to Cinderella and Collective Soul: Cinderella, of '80s hair band fame, will play the at 8 p.m. Friday, while '90s rockers Collective Soul will play a show at the historic venue at 8 p.m. Saturday.
