New Castle – The fish are coming and registration for the 8th annual Wentworth Marina Striped Bass Tournament for Kids on June 28th is now available completely on-line, a streamlined feature of the newly redesigned website.

The catch and release Striped Bass fishing tournament is limited to 100 anglers age 8-16, and includes a Mackerel division. Early registration is encouraged for those interested in Mackerel fishing on the Tournament vessel.

Fishing begins first thing Sunday morning, followed by entertainment on the Marina docks, lunch and the awards ceremony for places one – sixth in three age categories, for both Striped Bass and Mackerel. Striped Bass are released after photographed measurement. Mackerel are weighed at the Marina.

The new website posts all Tournament rules, a history of winners and beneficiaries, a downloadable application as well as useful information and tips on teaching kids to fish responsibly while respecting their coastal environment.

All participants become members of the Coastal Conversation Association of New Hampshire (CCANH) who advises and educates the public on both the conservation of marine animal and plant life, and coastal resources on and off shore.

Organized and managed by the Little Harbour Charitable Foundation, the Tournament is the sole fundraising event for the non-profit organization. Each year beneficiary organizations are selected that provide valuable services to Seacoast children and their families. The Foundation is credited with distributing over $2 million to programs and projects that have made a discernable difference on the Seacoast.
