WHO IS THE WFA FOR?
Do you like to hike, go backcountry skiing, go camping and enjoy other outdoor activities? Then WFA is the perfect course for the outdoor enthusiast or trip leader who wants a basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends and outdoor groups. It also meets the official guidelines of the American Camping Association(ACA).IS THERE AN EXAM?
Yes. There will be ongoing evaluation of practical skills, and there are written assessments throughout the course.

DO I GET CERTIFIED?
Yes. Participants who successfully pass the course will receive a SOLO WFA certification, which is good for two years.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
The WFA Course is held rain, snow or shine, so layers of weather-appropriate older clothing and rain gear are essential. Footwear must be closed-toe, and boots or trail shoes are preferred. Bring a small pack with as much personal gear as preferred for a serious day hike or overnight trip including extra fluffy layers (used for splinting), rope, parachute cord, extra shoe laces and webbing, sleeping bag and/or pad (optional). Books are provided; bring a pen or pencil and a watch.

Cost: $170
Time: 9am to 5pm, both days. Pack drinks and lunch for both days.
