• Franklin home damaged in garage fire (concordmonitor.com) — Fire crews from Hopkinton and Concord battled a serious house fire Monday afternoon at 660 Hopkinton Road, a historic colonial home where no one was inside at the time. Around the same time, firefighters also knocked down a separate garage fire in Franklin that left that home uninhabitable but caused no injuries, with regional departments assisting both scenes. 
• NH man arrested for stealing vehicle, driving impaired during pursuit, state police say (boston25news.com) — State police say a man accused of stealing a Subaru Outback and driving while impaired was spotted near Hopkinton on I‑89 before leading troopers on a 105‑mph pursuit along Route 202. The chase continued through Henniker, where police used a tire deflation device, and ended on Bacon Road with the driver taken into custody and impairment under investigation.
