• The Town That Carries Frogs Across a Road Every Spring (a-z-animals.com) — Keene is moving ahead with a $375,000 wildlife-tunnel project on Jordan Road to protect migrating frogs and vulnerable Jefferson complex salamanders, reducing the need for volunteers to carry them across. The state-backed plan, modeled on a successful New Hampshire underpass, is in design now, with construction targeted for 2027 and tunnels expected to be ready for the 2028 spring migration.
