Offering free removals, he carefully vacuums active nests, studies their structure, and keeps a customer log, turning a pandemic-era curiosity into a practical community service and a growing passion for insects and beekeeping.
   

• Man Hurt in Saturday Swanzey Tractor-Trailer Crash (magic967.com) — A 51-year-old man was seriously injured after running into the path of a tractor-trailer on Route 12 near the Cheshire Fairgrounds, according to Swanzey police. He was first taken to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, then transferred to Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon with mainly internal injuries, while investigators say video shows the driver tried but could not avoid the collision.
