The Burlington Police Department has charged three individuals allegedly involved in a theft at Long’s Jewelers in April, Police Chief Michael Kent announced Tuesday.
On April 15, at approximately 4:20 a.m., police received a report that multiple suspects had smashed the front door glass of Long’s Jewelers on 60 South Ave, Burlington, entered the building, shattered several display cases and then proceeded to steal thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.
After a lengthy investigation, which involved multiple police agencies in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, the Burlington Police Department secured warrants for the three suspects. Two of the suspects are in custody on unrelated charges, while the third is still wanted.
Police believe this group is also responsible for at least seven other jewelry store break-ins over past few months and possibly other crimes, as well throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Burlington Police have charged the following individuals:
Meucci and Lundstrom are currently in police custody on unrelated charges. Wilson is wanted, and the Burlington Police Department has secured an arrest warrant for him.
“I applaud the work of the detectives involved in this case,” Chief Kent said. “It is through their hard work, the sharing of resources among many police departments, and the swift actions of the investigators that we are able move forward with the investigation into these three individuals.”
Officials say Meucci and Lundstrom will be arraigned at a later date.
