LONDONDERRY, NH — A previously convicted drunken driver was arrested on a second offense charge after a rollover crash on Thursday, while a Londonderry police officer was severely injured during a separate crash responding to the scene.

Just before 6 p.m., police, fire, and rescue teams were sent to Stonehenge Road near Hardy Road for a report of a rollover crash. While en route, a motorcycle officer was involved in a separate crash after colliding with an SUV on Hardy Road near Pheasant Run Road.

The officer, according to Lt. Garrett Malloy, was taken to Elliot Hospital in Manchester

“At this time,” he said, “he is in stable condition. The operator of the other vehicle involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.”

The Derry Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team was requested to assist, and the roads were closed during the cleanup and investigation.

At the rollover, Dana Israel Robarge, 42, of Capitol Hill Drive in Londonderry, was arrested on a driving under the influence-second offense charge and an open container violation. He was also taken to the hospital.

Robarge, according to Milford District Court paperwork, was charged with aggravated DUI-0.16-plus and DUI after an incident in Wilton in May 2022. In January 2023, he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge while the aggravated count was nolle prossed. Robarge lost his license for nine months, was ordered to pay a $620 fine, and was required to take the impaired driver care management program, which he completed in mid-June 2023.
