Manchester Teen Arrested On Londonderry Child Sexual Assault Charges

LONDONDERRY, NH — A Queen City teen is facing felony charges, accused of pattern-sexual assault and attempted sexual assault of a girl between 2021 and 2022 when she was in elementary school.

The case came to fruition when a Londonderry police officer was contacted by Elliot Hospital in mid-July concerning a juvenile who may have been involved in a past-tense sexual assault from several years prior. The officer spoke to the girl, 13, who accused Conner Olson, 18, of Hecker Street in Manchester, of sexually assaulting her and reported it to a nurse, according to an affidavit.

The girl did not recall the exact date of the incidents but said they occurred at a home in Londonderry and described the attacks to the officer. The officer learned later a relative reportedly "stumbled upon the incident," and it was never reported. The girl was previously admitted to Hampstead Hospital.

A detective began investigating and spoke with the girl's family members.

One, a woman, said the incident possibly occurred four or five years ago. The family member who first reported the incident said the victim was fully clothed, but Olson was seen "fixing his shorts" behind a building, they said. Both children were spoken to, denied anything happened, and the family members made sure the two were not left alone again.

Later, the family members were told about what the girl had told a nurse. The girl also accused Olson of saying, in the past, to "keep it a secret," in reference to the sexual assaults, the affidavit said.

The detective learned later the original family member who had seen the incident actually saw both children with their pants down, appearing to be moments away from the sexual assault, the report said. That family member also revealed medical and other history concerning Olson, the report said.

The girl was interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center and said she was around 9 and in the third grade when the incidents began, the report said. Olson was 13 at the time, the detective wrote.

The affidavit described six separate incidents, but the girl accused Olson of raping her "many times" at different locations on the property and home.

Another relative of Olson's was interviewed and said they did not know about the assaults but raised concern for "Conner's behavior, his lack of impulse control, and described him as having no moral compass," the affidavit said, which led them to break off contact with the boy.

Another family member said Olson had confessed to the family member who was the first to see the children engaged in activity years ago, the report said.

The detective called the original family member to confirm the allegation that Olson confessed to raping the girl once, and they confirmed the conversation, the report said.

Olson was interviewed by the detective in late July, according to the affidavit, and confessed to one incident. The detective said he shifted his behavior and appeared visibly uncomfortable, "exhibiting nervous behaviors like scratching his face and avoiding eye contact with me" when she spoke of the assaults, the report stated.

"Conner consistently denied remembering any other incidents beyond the single barn encounter," the detective wrote. "Conner acknowledged feeling guilty and embarrassed about his actions, understanding they were wrong."

After writing about the interaction during the interview, the detective noted in the report that Olson's description of the incident matched the victim's.

In late August, the detective received a copy of the victim's medical records. The victim, it noted, never disclosed the attacks to anyone, but was now experiencing mental health issues because of the "many unwanted sexual assaults."

Olson was arrested on Sept. 23 on aggravated felonious sexual assault-pattern sexual assault, aggravated felonious sexual assault-victim under 13-attempt, and incest charges, all felonies. He did not enter a plea. Olson requested a lawyer and is due back in Derry District Court for a probable cause hearing on Oct. 20.
