Brian Wilson Still Searching for a New Team

The relief pitcher from Londonderry remains a free agent.

Former Londonderry High School baseball star Brian Wilson is still a man without a team.

Wilson remains a free agent, though one recent report says he'd be a good fit for the Tigers, who currently have 22-year-old Bruce Rondon penciled in as their closer.

An ESPN report about a month ago indicated that the Red Sox might be interested in signing Wilson to beef up their bullpen, but that seems less likely after the Sox signed free agent reliever Koji Uehara and traded for Pirates closer Joel Hanrahan.

Scott Miller of CBS Sports tweeted last month that there is still "lots of interest" in Wilson and that he has narrowed his list down to five teams.

Wilson, 30, was born in Winchester, Mass., but was raised in Londonderry and graduated from Londonderry High School.
