CHAMBER NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP RENAMED IN HONOR OF DIRECTOR’S SON

Greater Derry Londonderry, NH – The Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2014 Kyle B. Ross Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic achievement, extra-curricular activity, and community service to a graduating high school senior. 

Applicants of the Kyle B. Ross Memorial Scholarship must be an employee, dependent of an employee, or student whose employer or educational institution is a member in good standing with the Gr. Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce. 

Details include:

·      A non-needs based scholarship

·      One $1,000 scholarship is available

·      Application deadline is 3:00 PM, Thursday, April 17, 2014

The Chamber’s scholarship was recently renamed to honor Kyle Ross, the son of chamber member, director and business leader, Bernie Ross. Kyle Ross was a very dedicated student and employee who often gave back to his community. The renaming of the scholarship seems only fitting.

The Annual Scholarship is funded through proceeds derived from the Chamber’s Annual Taste of the Town Fundraiser Event. That event is already scheduled for April 24, 2014 at Castleton Banquet and Conference Center, 92 Indian Rock Road, Windham. The event is open to the public.
