HUDSON, NH — A Londonderry woman is facing multiple charges after a high-speed chase in Hudson that led to a crash in Windham, according to police.

Around 7 p.m. on May 14, an officer on Central Street in Hudson near Park Avenue attempted to stop an Audi A5 after a check yielded that the owner had a suspended driver's license. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Sara T. Stapleford, 20, of School House Road in Londonderry, was accused of failing to pull over and fled from the officer at a high rate of speed.

The officer, according to police, "pursued the Audi A5, but as the vehicle approached Windham, it continued traveling at a high rate of speed, and in an extremely reckless manner by traveling into oncoming traffic in an effort to pass other cars in its lane." The officer stopped chasing the vehicle and about 15 minutes later, Windham police advised Hudson officers that the Audi had crashed in their community.
