• Plans Continue for Library Re-Opening Despite Ongoing Maintenance Issues (londonderrytimes.net) — Leach Library leaders are pushing ahead with plans to move services back from the Londonderry Police Department's Community Room to the main building, aiming for a September reopening. Staff are juggling closing dates, shifting hours, and ongoing HVAC, leak, and mold issues to make the building safe and functional before fully welcoming the public again.
   

• Council OKs Three-Year Fire Agreement with Litchfield (londonderrytimes.net) — Londonderry's Town Council has unanimously approved a three-year deal for the Fire Department to provide ambulance and dispatch services to Litchfield, adding five full-time positions without raising the local tax rate. The agreement, starting January 1, 2027, is expected to essentially pay for itself while boosting staffing so Londonderry can handle overlapping emergency calls more effectively and rely less on mutual aid.
   

• Packard Looks Back on Three Tumultuous Terms as NH House Speaker (nhjournal.com) — Londonderry's own Sherm Packard is stepping down as New Hampshire House Speaker after three turbulent terms but plans to keep representing the town in Concord. He reflects on navigating COVID disruptions, razor-thin partisan margins, clashes with Gov. Kelly Ayotte over vetoes, and his long-held belief that government must live within its means and respect taxpayers' money.
