MANCHESTER, NH — Police in the Queen City are asking for the public's help in locating a man accused of armed robbery. At Catholic Medical Center Thursday, a woman was robbed by a man who flashed a handgun and grabbed her purse around 6 p.m. The victim, an employee at the hospital, crossed the sky bridge and after entering the employee parking lot, a vehicle pulled up behind her and a man jumped out, according to Heather Hamel, the public information officer for the Manchester Police Department.

"The suspect displayed a gun and grabbed her purse," Hamel said. "He then got back into the vehicle and drove off."

About 90 minutes after the incident, Merrimack County and Concord police dispatch announced a BOLO (be-on-the-lookout) alert for Ron Goodwin, 43, of Woodsville, calling him armed and dangerous, and requesting a stop and hold on him as well as a vehicle description that he might be traveling in. About two hours later, the BOLO was called off, with dispatchers saying the suspect had been located.
