• Derry man, 29, dead following dirt bike crash in Manchester (unionleader.com) — A 29-year-old Derry man died after a dirt bike crash just after midnight along the rail trail near 377 South Willow Street in Manchester. Police are still investigating and are asking anyone who saw the crash or has information to contact the Manchester Police traffic unit.    

• Around the horn with Ruais: Mayor offers updates on shelter, housing for vets (unionleader.com) — Manchester’s mayor reports the new Elm Street shelter for elderly and disabled residents is running smoothly, with no arrests or overdoses and strong connections to local services. He also says all 47 veterans identified as homeless in 2024 have now been housed, and a new partnership will soon bring more mental health and recovery providers into the 200 Elm Street facility.    

• Hacker who orchestrated cyberattack that crippled Auburn now trying to prevent attacks (wmur.com) — Manchester readers may recall the Farnum Center, whose website and addiction hotline were once hijacked in a wider 2015 cyberattack tied to an Auburn police case. The hacker, now out of home confinement, says he’s rebuilding his life by studying cybersecurity, creating anti-phishing software, and reconciling with the detective he targeted.
