According to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, just before 5:45 p.m. on Monday, police were sent to the Alltown Mobil gas station on South Willow Street for a report of a man who was injured. When police and fire and rescue teams arrived, they found a man, identified later as Marcoux, with a stab wound.

Jeffrey Hastings of Manchester Information said bystanders attempted to control the bleeding and performed CPR before first responders arrived. However, the victim lost a large amount of blood during the incident.

Marcoux was taken to Elliot Hospital, where he later died.

An autopsy on Tuesday revealed Marcoux was killed due to a stab wound to the abdomen, and the death was determined to be a homicide by the state medical examiner’s office.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office said the investigation into the death is still ongoing.

Cajigas, according to a superior court filing, was arrested on a stolen firearm charge in Manchester in September 2023. He was not indicted within 90 days. The charge was dismissed without prejudice in late December 2023.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact Detective Timothy Carter of the Manchester Police Department at 603-792-5564.
