The Moore Center Plans Caregiver Support Event In Manchester
The Moore Center's Kinship Program will host a family caregiver event in Manchester on March 20, focusing on support and education.
MANCHESTER, NH — The Moore Center will host an event for individuals providing in-home care to family members on March 20.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Derryfield Country Club in Manchester.
This gathering is part of the agency’s Kinship Program. It aims to provide information on important topics for those managing home care for loved ones. These individuals might otherwise require nursing home placement.

The Moore Center's Kinship Program provides families with compensation for caring for a loved one at home. Individuals receiving care must qualify for Medicaid and the Choices for Independence program.
The event will feature expert speakers covering topics such as understanding Alzheimer’s and dementia. Preventing caregiver burnout and making the most of time with loved ones will also be discussed. Attendees will have opportunities to connect with others and learn the early warning signs. They can also gain self-care strategies and network with providers.

Michael W. Ames, PhD, president and chief executive officer at The Moore Center, said the Kinship Program helps families provide compassionate, high-quality care. He added that it allows loved ones to maintain independence in the home. Ames also said this event highlights the center's commitment to supporting these caregivers. He noted it recognizes the essential role they play in long-term care services.
The cost to attend is $50 per person, which includes breakfast and lunch. Spots are limited, and registration is encouraged by March 13, 2026.
