DEA opens $50 million forensic lab in Londonderry (unionleader.com) — A new $50 million DEA forensic lab has opened in nearby Londonderry, meaning evidence that once went through the agency's Manchester field office will now be processed faster and closer to home. The 50,000-square-foot facility will handle more than 20,000 drug and fingerprint specimens a year, helping New Hampshire investigators identify dangerous substances and track overdose trends more efficiently.
   

2. Hundreds attend ribbon-cutting for Stebbins Community Center on Manchester's West Side (unionleader.com) — A new 20,000-square-foot Mark Stebbins Community Center is opening Sept. 9 on Manchester's West Side, bringing child care, health services, and youth programs under one roof. Local leaders say the $20.7 million project, backed by major public and private funding, will provide walkable support for families and kids for generations to come.
   

3. Catholic Medical Center grant to support Manchester families, first responders (inklink.news) — Catholic Medical Center has awarded a $25,000 grant to Granite United Way to boost back-to-school help, infant safety resources, and mental health training for first responders across Greater Manchester. The funding, part of HCA Healthcare's broader community investment, will provide backpacks, new mother kits, and crisis-intervention training to support local children, families, and emergency workers.
   

4. New Hampshire primary election results: Live maps for key races (9news.com) — New Hampshire voters are heading to the polls today to choose party nominees for governor, U.S. Senate, and Congress, with Manchester's own Rep. Chris Pappas seeking the Democratic U.S. Senate nod. The piece walks through key races, Trump-backed Republican contenders, and crowded fields vying to replace Pappas in the 1st Congressional District, which includes much of the Manchester area.
