Jessica Martin Named Inaugural Executive Director of Visit Manchester, NH (news-usa.today) — Manchester's new destination marketing group, Visit Manchester has hired Jessica Martin as its first executive director to boost downtown tourism and support local businesses. The organization plans strategic marketing, storytelling, and events, including a community launch party at the REX Theatre on September 30, to spotlight the city's hidden gems and year‑round attractions.
   

2. Memo: Possible crack on Queen City Bridge truss was just in paint (wmur.com) — Manchester drivers can once again use the Queen City Bridge after engineers confirmed that a suspected crack was only in the paint, not the steel structure. Following a multi‑day closure and expert inspections, officials say the bridge meets safety standards, though DPW plans extra cleaning and repainting to prevent future concerns.
   

3. 2 prison inmates reported 'escaped' after leaving New Hampshire re-entry house: Authorities (jambroadcasting.com) — State corrections officials are searching in Manchester for two minimum-security inmates who signed out of the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit to seek work and never returned, last seen near Delta Dental Stadium. Authorities released detailed descriptions of both men and are asking anyone with information to call the New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau immediately.
   

4. Manchester property management company settles federal Fair Housing Act case (inklink.news) — A Manchester property management company and two co-defendants will pay a tenant $20,000 and give rent credits after federal officials alleged they tried to evict him for filing a discrimination complaint. As part of the settlement, they must adopt Fair Housing Act policies and train employees, and residents who suspect discrimination are urged to contact federal hotlines for help.
   

5. WFEA Presents Voter Education Roundtable (talkers.com) — Manchester's news/talk station WFEA recently hosted a voter education roundtable aimed at helping Granite State residents understand voting rules and key issues without telling them how to vote. AARP New Hampshire leaders joined host Jeff Chidester to discuss voting law changes, Social Security, drug costs, caregiving, and fraud prevention as Election Day approaches.
