Manchester Community College, Granite Edvance Launch New Scholarship (patch.com) — Manchester students starting at Manchester Community College this fall are benefiting from a new Momentum Scholarship program funded in part by a $25,000 Granite Edvance donation. More than 20 recent local graduates, including alumni of Trinity High School and Manchester High School West, received $750 awards to help them afford full-time course loads and stay on track toward degrees and careers.
   

2. The New Hampshire Supreme Court dismisses the petition of the state's only death row inmate (newenglandnewspress.com) — New Hampshire's Supreme Court has declined to reconsider the death sentence of Michael Addison, convicted in the 2006 killing of Manchester police officer Michael Briggs. Despite the state abolishing the death penalty in 2019, justices ruled that change does not apply retroactively to Addison's case, leaving him as New Hampshire's only death row inmate.
   

3. Daniella Karagach Revealed Why She And Pasha Pashkov Are Not Going On DWTS Live 2027 Tour (tasteofreality.com) — Dancing With the Stars' 2027 live tour is slated to kick off in Manchester, bringing a major national entertainment event to the city on January 21, 2027. While pros Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov plan to sit out most of the 60-stop run to focus on family, they may still make brief guest appearances alongside a large roster of fan-favorite dancers.
   

4. 'Dancing with the Stars' pros will head back on tour in 2027 (mycentraloregon.com) — The 2027 Dancing with the Stars: LIVE! tour is scheduled to launch in Manchester on January 21, 2027, before crisscrossing North America and wrapping in Georgia. A large lineup of pro dancers and troupe members will perform, with more celebrity guests promised and tickets going on sale October 13 through the tour's website.
   

5. Democrat aldermen snub Republican's pick to fill Manchester ... (unionleader.com) — Manchester officials are clashing over how to fill a school board vacancy, with Democrats backing nominee Donnie Spencer and some Republicans arguing the board lacks political diversity. Public commenters warned against appointing candidates they see as aligned with efforts to weaken public education in Manchester, while others urged at least one more Republican voice. The mayor noted tradition discourages mayoral vetoes of board selections.
