It's going to be a quiet week at the Independent Karate School.
This weekend was certainly pretty lively. Saturday morning began with an extended version of our brown and black belt class, welcoming all our returning college students with a good workout. Everyone was also glad to see one of our fourth-degree black belts, a young man in his twenties who divides his year between fighting forest fires out West and working with orphaned children in Rwanda. (I am not making this up).
Advanced class was followed by our children's Christmas party, a much cherished annual tradition. Congratulations to the winners of all our party games!

Now, given the vagaries of the calendar, there will be a bit of a break. Classes at our Merrimack location are now on hold till Thursday, January 2. Our Nashua school will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day, but will otherwise be open on its usual schedule. This includes Saturday, December 28, and Merrimack students are encouraged as always to attend--if they are not off visiting relatives!
We hope that all our students will take this opportunity to rest and recharge before coming back strong in 2014. Happy holidays from everyone at the Independent Karate School, and hope to see you soon!
