Alleged ‘Hands-Free’ Cellphone Violation Leads to Pot Charge
Caitlyn Colarusso was arrested by Merrimack Police this month after a traffic stop; she also had a theft warrant out of Plaistow.

MERRIMACK, NH – A Queen City woman is due in court in August after allegedly being caught in possession of marijuana after a traffic stop, according to police.
Caitlyn Colarusso, 21, of Walnut Street in Manchester, was arrested on June 2, 2016, after a traffic stop that was conducted around 10 a.m. after an officer allegedly saw her using a mobile electronic device while driving, according to a report.

The officer stopped Colarusso for the violation and found that she had an active warrant out of Plaistow for theft by unauthorized taking and she was arrested.

“While processing Colarusso at police headquarters, a small quantity of the controlled drug marijuana was located on her person,” according to Sgt. Gregory Walters of the Merrimack Police Department. “Colarusso was processed on the drug charge and her bail was set at $1,500 personal recognizance.”
After processing, she was handed over to Plaistow Police. She is due in Merrimack District Court on Aug. 4.
