Alleged Meth Dealers Arrested After Alarm Activation At Hotel
Charles Gates of Merrimack and Krystal Kenny of Rochester were arrested on charges on Christmas Day at the Woodspring Suites.
MERRIMACK, NH — Police in Merrimack arrested two people on drug dealing charges after fire and rescue teams were sent to a local hotel for a fire alarm activation last month. Charles Gates, 33, of Merrimack, was arrested on Dec. 25, 2017, for possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of heroin/fentanyl, and possession of controlled drug-Suboxone. Also arrested was Krystal Kenny, 34, of Pickering Road in Rochester, for possession of meth with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of heroin and fentanyl.

At just before 1 a.m. on Christmas Day, firefighters and police were called to the Woodspring Suites hotel on Executive Park Drive for an alarm activation. When they arrived, they went to the room where the alarm activated and spoke with Gates.

“While speaking with MFD and MPD personnel, they noticed a Ziplock baggie with methamphetamine on the floor at Gates’ feet,” Sgt. Cassell of the Merrimack Police Department. “He was arrested without incident.”
Kenny was also in the room and allegedly carrying a wallet with fentanyl patches and a baggie with brown powder consistent with heroin-fentanyl. She also reportedly had more than $1,500 in cash. Kenny was also arrested.

Police then filed for a search warrant and received it. After searching the hotel room, officers allegedly found 29 grams of methamphetamine and $2,000 in cash in another purse that Kenny was reportedly in possession of at the time officers arrived at the scene. Also allegedly found in the room were a scale, clean baggies, ledgers, and quantities of meth, heroin, and Suboxone.
Both Kenny and Gates were processed and held on $25,000 cash bail. They were arrested in court on Dec. 26.
According to previous posts on Patch, Kenny was arrested in February 2017, in Portsmouth for driving after revocation or suspension, possession of controlled/narcotic drugs, and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle after a traffic stop. She was indicted on a prescription drug possession charge in Rockingham County Superior Court last year. In April 2017, she was arrested on a bench warrant in Portsmouth. She was also arrested on a bench warrant in Somersworth in January 2017.
