Busted Taillights Lead to Driving Charge
Merrimack Police arrested Michael Couch on Sunday on Depot Street.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man was arrested this weekend on driving charge after a traffic stop on Depot Street, according to police. Michael Couch, 23, of Beech Street in Manchester was arrested on Oct. 23, 2016, for motor vehicle license required.

According to police, at just before 10:30 p.m., an officer stopped a motor vehicle on the road for not having taillights that were working properly, according to Lt. Ted Dillon.

“When the officer spoke to the above driver, Michael Couch it was found that he does not hold a valid New Hampshire driver’s license,” Dillon alleged. “After investigating further, it was learned that he has never obtained a valid license in any state making it a Class B Misdemeanor driving offense.”
Couch was arrested and transported to headquarters. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Dec. 8.
