Car Strikes Propane Tank on Pearson Road
Breaking: Merrimack Police have closed the road near Reeds Ferry School due to a leak in a tank. Children are not in any danger.

MERRIMACK, NH — Police and fire and rescue teams are at a crash on Pearson Road involving a vehicle that struck a propane tank, according to witnesses and a police report on Facebook. The accident occurred a little after 2 p.m. on Nov. 2, 2016, according to alerts.
Police shut down the road at Lyons Road, near the Reeds Ferry School, while re-routing traffic, at around 2:30 p.m. The road is expected to be closed for about an hour.
Merrimack Fire and Rescue teams are allowing the tank to vent propane while hosing down the tank. They are awaiting the arrival of the propane company, too.
