Chamber Cancels Coffee with Candidate Series

Refunds will be issued to those business leaders who already purchased tickets.

MERRIMACK, NH — The Merrimack Chamber of Commerce has canceled its coffee with the candidates series scheduled to run through the end of the month, according to an email alert. A full slate of candidates agreed to participate in the event that was open to 50 or fewer business leaders, including most of the major statewide candidates and even some independents, too. Nine days ago, the chamber sent out another list of 22 candidates that agreed to participate. Today, the event was abruptly canceled.

"The Merrimack Chamber of Commerce regrets to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control, the three upcoming Candidate Coffees will be canceled," according to an alert. "We appreciate all the time and effort that the candidates put into making time in their busy schedules for our events. We hope to offer opportunities for political engagement in the future."

Refunds will be issued to those registered attendees that have already paid.
