Former Merrimack Resident Arrested Again

Police allege that Nicholas Coyle assaulted, threatened his former girlfriend on Labor Day.

A local man was arrested and charged after an incident yesterday with his ex, according to police.

Nicholas Coyle, 27, of Mammoth Road in Hooksett, was arrested on Sept. 7, 2015, and charged with domestic violence and criminal threatening.

Police were called to Back River Road at just before 5 p.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance in progress, according to a report. When they arrived, they conducted what Sgt. Eric Marquis called a “lengthy investigation” of the incident and issued a warrant to arrest Coyle.

“It is alleged that Coyle assaulted his former girlfriend and threatened her safety at the residence during an argument,” according to Marquis. “Coyle turned himself into the Merrimack Police later in the day.”

Coyle was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court later this week.

According to online reports, Coyle has been arrested a number of times in recent years. He was arrested for the same charges back in late April, according to a post on Patch. In February 2013, he was arrested for simple assault, criminal mischief, and obstructing a report of a crime.
