Hassan Serves Merrimack's Punxsutawney Phil Warrant Papers to PA Guv
At the National Governors Association winter meeting, a light moment between governors about the weather.

The National Governors Association winter meeting was held this weekend and NH Gov. Maggie Hassan, D-Exeter, took the opportunity to deliver the Merrimack NH Police Department’s active extradition warrant for Punxsutawney Phil that was issued earlier this month, to Gov. Tom Wolf, D-PA.
The warrant was issued after the groundhog in question didn’t mention that while winter would go on for a few more weeks, it would mean that New Hampshire would be bombarded by snow.
Wolf countered that Phil wasn’t just some “average rodent” but was, instead, “an American legend and Pennsylvania hero,” clearly showing signs that the state would not be giving him up to the police any time soon.

Hassan offered back on Twitter, “All he has to do to make this go away is step outside & avoid his shadow...”
Hassan, however, upped the ante by delivering the warrant directly to Wolf at the NGA meeting. About an hour ago, the Merrimack Police Department posted the picture of Hassan handing off the warrant to Wolf on Facebook.

Whether it will make a difference or not is in question: There’s a wind chill advisory in place and it’s expected to be as cold as 30 degrees below zero during the next 24 hours in Merrimack. Spring can’t come fast enough.
