Have Fun with Merrimack Parks and Recreation in August
Music, the Cardboard Boat Regatta, a blood drive, and more.

MERRIMACK, NH — Looking for some fun before the end of summer? Don't miss out on these remaining events organized by the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department:
- The Merrimack 200: Cardboard Boat Regatta, Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Wasserman Park. Registrations close on Friday, Aug. 19, so we encourage everyone to register early and start building your boats! Entry fee is only $25.00 per boat and is open to all youth, middle school, high school and adult/family entries. For more information, visit merrimackparksandrec.org/regatta.html
- Summer Concert Series at Abbie Griffin Park from 6 to 8 p.m. Playing on Wednesday, Aug. 17, will be The Baha Brothers, a Jimmy Buffet/Beach Boys tribute band – a fan favorite! And on Aug. 24, will be The Transistors who will bring the sounds of the sixties to the stage. So bring your picnic blanket, chairs and your favorite picnic snack and enjoy a summer concert at the park!
- Merrimack Community Blood Drive with the American Red Cross from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, at the John O’Leary Community Center (4 Church Street, Merrimack). Call the Parks and Recreation Department to schedule your blood donation appointment or register online, by visiting redcrossblood.org/donating-blood.
- Summer Movie at Wasserman Park: “The Minions” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25. Whole Foods Market presents the Kiss 108 Summer Movie Series 2016! Bring the whole family, your friends, and even your neighbors together and join us for an outdoor movie night under the summer stars! It's all FREE! The first 100 families to attend each movie night will also receive a limited edition Whole Foods Market tote bag filled with healthy goodies from our sponsors. Before the movie, play some games with the Kiss 108 Street Team, or spin the Digital Prize Wheel for your chance to win a $100 Whole Foods Market gift card!
