Hudson Man Charged with OUI

Merrimack Police: Galen Finnegan was driving drunk with a child in his vehicle.

A local man is in court next week to answer to two drunk-driving charges after an arrest last week, according to a Merrimack Police arrest report.

Galen Finnegan, 44, of Webster Street in Hudson, was arrested around 5 p.m. on March 6, and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and aggravated operating under the influence of liquor.

Police stopped Finnegan while he was driving on Executive Park Drive. The investigating officer spoke to him and allegedly “noticed signs of impairment.”

According to Sgt. Eric Marquis, “The officer conducted a roadside investigation which included field sobriety tests and as a result of the investigation, Finnegan was placed under arrest for OUIL.”

A second charge, for aggravated OUI, was issued to Finnegan due to there being “a minor child in the vehicle at the time of the infraction,” according to police.

Finnegan is due to be arraigned in court on March 17.
