Man Assaults Resident, Damages Shower Curtain Rod: Cops

Merrimack Police arrest John Chick yesterday on charges after incident on Turkey Hill Road this weekend.

MERRIMACK, NH – A local man was arrested and held on $5,000 cash bail after a domestic incident on Sunday, according to police.

John Chick, 33, of an unknown address, was arrested on June 20, 2016, on two counts of domestic violence and criminal mischief.

According to police, on Sunday, officers were sent to an apartment on Turkey Hill Road for a report of a domestic incident.

“On the arrival of police they learned that Mr. Chick had assaulted another person within the household and also damaged a shower curtain rod during an argument,” Lt. Ted Dillion of the Merrimack Police Department. “Police were unable to arrest Mr. Chick at the time of the incident so subsequently an arrest warrant was later issued for his arrest for the three offenses.”

Chick turned himself in on the warrant but couldn’t raise the $5,000 cash bail need so he was held at the Hillsborough County Jail, with a scheduled arraignment for today.
