Manchester Man Allegedly Assaulted Girlfriend
Merrimack Police arrested Jamie Denver on an assault charge after victim, witness speak with police.

MERRIMACK, NH – A Queen City man was arrested after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend last night, according to police.
Jamie Denver, 33, of Manchester, was arrested on July 12, 2016, for domestic related simple assault.

According to police, at just after 11:30 p.m., a local woman filed a complaint against Denver alleging that she had been assaulted by him.

“She identified her boyfriend as Jamie Denver, and advised that he grabbed her upper arm and attempted to pull her out of a motor vehicle,” according to Sgt. Cassell of the Merrimack Police Department. “The woman was accompanied by a friend who witnessed the assault.”
Police interviewed the witness, who provided a statement, and then contacted Denver about the allegation, according to Cassell. He then agreed to turn himself in to the police and a short time later, was charged, processed, and released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail.
Denver is due in court on July 14.
