Manchester Man Arrested on Felonious Sexual Assault Charge

David Carr allegedly assaulted a juvenile when he previously lived in Merrimack, according to police.

MERRIMACK, NH — A Queen City man was arrested last week on a felonious sexual assault charge after an investigation into an alleged rape case in Merrimack, according to police. David Carr, 21, of Country Club Drive in Manchester, was arrested on Nov. 25, 2016, on a single count of sexual assault.

Carr was arrested on a warrant after the Merrimack Police Department’s criminal division investigated a claim that he allegedly “had sexual intercourse with a juvenile, under the age of 16 years, while he had resided in Merrimack,” according to a press statement from Lt. Denise Roy. The claim, she noted, was reported by a juvenile.

Carr was arrested and released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail. He is due in court on Jan. 5, 2017.
