MERRIMACK, NH — A Manchester man who witnesses told police they saw throwing a metal water bottle at another car in traffic was charged with criminal mischief related to a road rage incident. Merrimack Police said two independent witnesses confirmed a driver's report that Dennis Kirkhart, 33, threw the bottle at a woman's car after she merged into traffic.

The victim reported to Merrimack Police on Sept. 14 that the metal bottle caused damage to her vehicle. When officers investigated the incident they said witnesses confirmed the report and claimed the victim was not driving erratically or aggressively leading up to the incident. A warrant was issued for Kirkhart's arrest and he turned himself into Merrimack Police last Friday.

Kirkhart was released on personal recognizance bail and schedule for arraignment at the 9th Circuit District Court in Merrimack next Wednesday.
