Merrimack High School's Top 10: Sophia Roy
Sophia, No. 9 at MHS in 2020, will be studying pre-veterinary animal science at North Carolina State University.

MERRIMACK, NH — Sophia Roy is No. 9 at Merrimack High School for 2020. She said: I plan to continue my education at North Carolina State University this fall where I will be studying pre-veterinary animal science. Two great passions in my life are animals and helping others. I chose to study in the field of animal medicine so that I may combine these passions and help animals. In addition to my studies I have recently begun working on starting my own non-profit organization to fund the critical care of animals in need when their caretakers cannot afford such care. Throughout high school cheerleading has played a prominent role in my life. I was given the opportunity to compete at The Cheerleading Worlds multiple times which allowed me to become a role model and inspiration to younger athletes in my community, something I am extremely proud of. I plan to continue cheer in college and use the position to help younger athletes and continue to be a role model for them. I am so grateful for the friends I made at Merrimack High School and for the many amazing teachers and staff who made learning fun. I feel that the class of 2020 has been really special and I believe we will all go on to achieve amazing things.
