According to police, Dupras allegedly attempted to conceal more than $100 worth of food at the store when he was approached by a loss prevention employee. As he allegedly left the store, he was confronted. Dupras then allegedly threatened to “spray” the employee so she backed away, according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.

“Fortunately, two men were walking into the store when they witnessed the incident, so they aided loss prevention officer,” O’Keege alleged. “Both men stated they watched Dupras reach for something inside of his waistband during the confrontation with the loss prevention officer. They intervened as Dupras continued to reach for the unknown item inside his waistband.”
Devin Sullivan of Merrimack reportedly placed Dupras in a bear hug as his friend, Nick Fiorentino of Litchfield, assisted and they both brought him to the ground. Dupras allegedly emptied a can of “OC spray” during the altercation but spray himself, according to O’Keefe.
