A local man who was arrested earlier this month was arrested again today on charges after an altercation yesterday during a child custody exchange.
Eric M. Thibeault, 34, of Greenleaf Street in Merrimack, was arrested on Nov. 17, and charged with simple assault and breach of bail conditions.
According to police, at around 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 16, officers were sent to Greenleaf Street for a report of an assault. Thibeault, police alleged, “assaulted another party during a child exchange in the Greenleaf Street area.” During an argument, he allegedly “assaulted the victim by striking them in the forehead with a closed fist.” A warrant was drafted for his arrest.

Derry Police, according to a press statement, located Thibeault earlier today and arrested him. Since Thibeault was out on bail from an ignition interlock offense earlier this month, a breach of bail charge was added. He was released on $500 cash bail and is due in court on Nov. 20.
