Merrimack Man Arrested Again for Assault

Scott Martell was arrested after an alleged incident with a woman on Monday near the Holiday Inn. He was arrested in September, too.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man was arrested on Monday after an alleged assault and vandalism incident near the Holiday Inn, according to police. Scott Martell, 49, of Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, was arrested on Jan. 2, 2017, for simple assault, criminal mischief, and breach of bail.

Police were sent to the area of the Holiday Inn after receiving a 911 call from a woman reporting a domestic disturbance in progress. When they arrived, officers spoke with a female victim who alleged that she was an altercation with Martell.

“While the argument was ongoing, Scott Martell assaulted the victim, and also damaged property belonging to her,” according to Mtpl Michael Lambert of the Merrimack Police Department. “Martell was arrested and brought back to the station.”

During processing, police found out that Martell was out on bail and the arrest was a violation of his conditions, so a breach charge was added and he was held on $2,500 cash bail.

According to a post on Patch in September 2016, Martell was arrested for domestic assault and disorderly conduct – using offensive words in a public place.

Martell was arraigned on Tuesday.
