Merrimack Man Arrested for Assault
Police allege that Derek Wright assaulted his girlfriend after an argument in their apartment.

A local man is due in court next week after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
Derek Wright, 24, of London Court Apartments in Merrimack, was arrested on Jan. 30, 2015, and charged with domestic violence.
According to police, officers were called to the apartment to look into a report of a disturbance.

The officers conducted an investigation into the matter and then arrested Wright.
“It is alleged that Wright assaulted his girlfriend at the residence during an argument,” according to Sgt. Eric Marquis of the Merrimack Police Department.

Wright was released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in Ninth District Court on Feb. 3.
