Merrimack Man Arrested on Gun Charge

Police allege that Bryan Morse was concealing a loaded firearm in his vehicle without a permit.

A local man will be in court next month on a firearm charge, according to a report.

Bryan E. Morse, 21, of Templeton Court in Merrimack, was arrested on Jan. 16, 2015, and charged with firearm – carry concealed/motor vehicle without a permit.

Police arrested Morse on a warrant after officers were called to a motor vehicle lockout. After the arrived at the scene, according to Lt. M. Tarleton of the Merrimack Police Department, “it was learned that Morse possessed a loaded handgun within the vehicle and did not possess a valid permit to carry concealed.” Upon investigating the situation further, according to Tarleton, it was determined that the action was a violation of the law and a warrant was drafted for Morse’s arrest.

He is due in court on Feb. 3.

According to online reports, Morse has been arrested in the past.

In July 2012, he was arrested on a reckless driving charge, after striking a utility pole on Wilson Hill Road, according to a post on Merrimack Patch. About a year and a half later, he was arrested and charged with two counts of child endangerment.
