Merrimack Man Charged with Domestic Assault

Matthew Kuehn was arrested by police last week.

A local man was arrested and arraigned last week on a domestic violence simple assault charge.

Matthew Kuehn, 26, of Merrimack, was arrested at 7:40 p.m. on Jan. 14, on the charge, after he turned himself in on an active warrant.

The warrant stemmed from an investigation into an incident earlier in the week where Kuehn allegedly struck another household/family member in the face, according to Sgt. Ted Dillon of the Merrimack Police Department.

“After an investigation a warrant was sought and issued for Mr. Kuehn,” he noted.

Kuehn was ordered to appear in Merrimack District Court on Jan. 15.

Due to a change in New Hampshire law, crimes like assault arrests involving family members, spouses, or significant others, are now classified with a “domestic violence” designation.
