Merrimack Man Charged with Murdering His Wife

A Merrimack man on Friday was charged with murdering his wife.

Joseph Lawrence, 62, of 86 Back River Rd., was charged with second-degree murder for allegedly killing Darlene Lawrence, 61.

Police said the received a 911 call at about 6:21 a.m. and responding officers discovered Darlene’s body.

Lawrence allegedly shot his wife in the neck, according to WMUR.

Police said they are continuing to investigate the case and asked anyone with information to contact State Police Sergeant John Sonia at 603-223-8578 or Merrimack Lieutenant Denise Roy at 603-420-1809.
