Merrimack Police Arrest Alleged Drug Dealer

A local woman with previous run-ins with the law was arrested yesterday at a Merrimack hotel on drug charges.

Caitlyn Caron, 21, of Meetinghouse Road in Merrimack, was arrested on Feb. 23, 2015, and charged with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of marijuana, and possession of a prescription drug.

According to a police report, officers were sent to the hotel around 2:15 p.m. for a problem with a guest.

The officers made contact with Caron in her room and while speaking with her, allegedly “observed marijuana and drug paraphernalia in plain view.” She was immediately arrested on a marijuana charge. Police, while searching her, allegedly discovered cocaine in one of her pockets.

Caron was taken to police headquarters and processed and during an inventory of her property, police allegedly “discovered heroin, packing supplies, and other prescription drugs that she did not possess a prescription for,” according to the report.

Caron was arraigned in 9th Circuit District Division Merrimack Court with bail set at $20,000 cash or corporate surety.

According to online reports, Caron was arrested in Nashua in January 2013, after allegedly stealing a Volvo in November 2012 during a test drive. She was indicted in Hillsborough County Superior Court in May 2013. In April 2014, she was arrested for unsworn falsification in Nashua.
