Merrimack Police Charge Hudson Man In Theft Of Valuable Coins

MERRIMACK, NH — A Hudson man was being held without bail after Merrimack Police arrested him on felony charges of receiving stolen property in conjunction with the theft of $10,000 of valuable coins from a town residence in July. Joshua Smith, 35, was arrested on a Merrimack Police warrant at the Hudson Police Department Wednesday night.

Police said they began an investigation on July 14 when the coin theft was reported and that Smith was identified as the suspect. An arrest warrant was issued out of the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack.

Smith was refused bail when processed for the class A felony offense of receiving stolen property. He was scheduled for arraignment at Hillsborough County Superior Court South.
