Merrimack Police Charge NH Man With Trying To Lure Boy For Sex
Merrimack police said Grant Normandin solicited sexual images from someone he believed to be a 13-year-old boy and tried to meet for sex.

MERRIMACK, NH — A Merrimack man police said tried to lure a person he thought was a 13-year-old boy to meet him for sexual acts has been charged with computer crimes as part of a New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation. Merrimack police said Grant Normandin, 70, tried to solicit sexual images from the person he believed to be a juvenile, then attempted to meet him for sex.
Merrimack police said the joint investigation with the Merrimack Police Department's Criminal Investigations Bureau and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office began on Oct. 29 and that Normandin was arrested on Tuesday.
"The Merrimack Police Department would like to remind parents to keep a watchful eye on their child's cell phone and computer activity," Merrimack Lt. Chris Spillane urged in a statement announcing the arrest.

Normandin was processed at the Merrimack Police Department and held on preventative detention. He is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-South on Wednesday.
