MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack Police charged a 19-year-old Milford man with resisting arrest/detention Friday night after they said he became uncooperative and belligerent as they tried to break up an underage drinking party. Police said they arrived at the Waterville Drive residence about 9 p.m. to find a large bonfire and underage guests in the presence of alcoholic beverages.
Merrimack Police said they were attempting to gather information and contact the parents and guardians of the underage guests when Justice Mainguy became uncooperative and belligerent, and refused to provide parental contact information. Officers said that when they attempted to take Mainguy into custody via handcuffs, he pulled away and resisted detention.
Mainguy was released on personal recognizance and scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court Merrimack Division on Nov. 14.
