Merrimack Teen Arrested After Alleged Scratch Attack

​Police: Mia Laberge of Merrimack was arrested on a domestic violence charge after allegedly attacking a male subject.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local teen was arrested yesterday after allegedly scratching a male subject she was in a relationship with, according to Merrimack Police. Mia Laberge, 19, of Merrimack, was arrested on June 18, 2017, on a simple assault-domestic violence charge. According to police, at just before 3 p.m., officers were sent to a home in town for a report of a physical altercation in progress.

When officers arrived, according to Sgt. Cassell of the Merrimack Police Department, the involved parties had left the scene.

“During the course of the investigation, officers interviewed Laberge, the male, and an uninvolved witness,” Cassell stated. “Officers determined Mia assaulted the male victim by scratching him about the neck, chest, and back. She was subsequently arrested and charged accordingly.”

Laberge was processed and released on personal recognizance bail. She’s due in court on June 26.
