Merrimack Woman Arrested for Drunk Driving

Police charged Kimberly Kapise after allegedly driving erratically last week.

MERRIMACK, NH - A local woman was arrested for drunk driving after an alleged incident on the Everett Turnpike on Wednesday.

Kimberly Kapise, 47, of Back River Road in Merrimack, was arrested on March 16, 2016, for operating under the influence of liquor, following too closely, and a yellow line violation.

At around 5 p.m., police received a complaint about an erratic driving in a motor vehicle driving south on the Everett Turnpike.

The officer found the vehicle in the area of Greeley Street and Daniel Webster Highway and stopped it after allegedly seeing the vehicle violation motor vehicle provisions, according to a report.

“Upon the officer making contact with the driver identified as, Kapise the officer detected a distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath as well as signs of impairment,” according to Mptl. Paul Wells of the Merrimack Police Department. “Following a brief investigation Kapise was arrested and transported to the Merrimack Police Department for processing.”

Kapise is due in court on March 22.
