MERRIMACK, NH — A Merrimack woman has been charged with aggravated operating under the influence after Merrimack police determined she was driving impaired with a juvenile in the car when she got into an accident Saturday afternoon. Merrimack police said Christine Riley, 41, failed a field sobriety test when they responded to the accident on Bedford Road.

Merrimack police said they spoke to operators of both vehicles when they responded to the minor vehicle accident with no injuries. Police said they saw signs of impairment in Riley and issued a field sobriety test. She was arrested after the sobriety test on an OUI charge, which was enhanced to aggravated endangering the welfare of a child because she had a passenger under age 16 in the car.

Riley was released on personal recognizance and ordered to appear in the 9th Circuit Court Merrimack Division on Nov. 14.
